National Children’s Week 2025
14 October @ 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Children’s Week is a national event held annually around the fourth Wednesday in October, promoting awareness of children’s rights under the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child (UNCRC). Led by the Children’s Week Council of Australia, the week encourages national participation and supports children to be seen, heard, and celebrated in every community.
The Children’s Week National Theme for 2025 is based on UNCRC Article 42: States Parties undertake to make the principles and provisions of the Convention widely known, by appropriate and active means, to adults and children alike. This year’s theme is “Everyone should know about Children’s Rights”.
Pathfinders Aboriginal Early Years Program are holding a colouring in competition to celebrate National Children’s Week. Children from ages 2 – 6 are encouraged to participate, with prizes up for grabs. For more information, please contact Chantelle Paull on 0438 421 854.
